Steering Damper Frame Bracket

A simple part, but one that I had yet to find for my Sportster cafe racer. Sized to fit tubing 1-1/4″ to 1-3/8″, this will allow you to not weld a bracket to your frame, whilst utilizing the much more common fork tube clamp in the appropriate size.

Fork tube clamp = easy to find; frame clamp = not so easy to find. Click the photos to find out more about this eBay listing…

I went racing tonight!!!

Update: My shoulder, the one whose collar bone I broke at a Sears Point AHRMA race about 11 years back, is so sore today. The bump where the bone knit was apparently right under the shoulder strap of the 4-point harness. I had that thing cinched down so tight, and the beating from the curbs and flinging the car side to side seem to have bruised me a bit there.

Ahhh. I want to go back and do it again!
Yes, I did. But it was at Malibu Grand Prix.

I know, I know. You are all chuckling about it. But I haven’t been to the track in a couple of years, so this was fun. I was turning close to the fast time of the day, and was able to slide the car around a lot. Then the dude in charge gave me attitude about running over the curbs…

Let me say that sliding a car with the steering wheel turned to opposite lock is really fun! And a lot safer than doing it on a bike. Who knows, I may try to pick up a Formula Ford or Formula Vee one of these days.

MotoGP at Laguna Seca

So I have a chance to go to Laguna Seca. Possibly with a press pass. How cool its that? My girlfriend might get to go too.

That is the last weekend before my house sells at auction due to foreclosure. How much does that suck!?!?

I am thinking that I should spend that weekend making sure that the house is empty and I haven’t left anything behind. Almost everything is moved at this point. The only big things I have to move are some large pots. The plants are dead now, but the pots might be able to hold something else.

I really want to go to the MotoGP. I went in ’05. But maybe this time isn’t right…
