Nice Fiberglass Cafe Racer Seat on eBay

I found this nice-looking cafe racer seat on eBay this afternoon. There’s only a couple of hours left though. Hopefully, the seller will repost it again…

Specs: seat is 8 1/2″ wide at front, 9 1/2 wide at hump, 28″ long, seat area is 16″ long

1972 Yamaha DS7 Cafe Racer

A few months ago, I posted a non-converted DS7. This is almost its perfect doppleganger, minus the clubman bars and the ratty seat foam. These bikes seem like a perfect alternative to the ubiquitous R5 or RD. They are beautiful motorcycles that look great with the simple addition of clip-ons or clubman bars. Period correct, and that great cafe styling. This one has supposedly had a stripped-to-the-frame restoration/rebuild, but no photos to back it up. Click through for more photos and description…

1972 Yamaha DS7 250cc

This is a really nice, completely stock precursor to the famed RD series of motorcycles. I almost feel bad posting it, because to start chopping at this bike is going to ruin a well-kept example of a bike from the early 1970s. There isn’t much to write about this one since it has no modifications. There are a couple of dents in the tanks, and in one of the photos you can just see the battery acid damage to one of the pipes.

My friend Paul has estimated a reserve price somewhere between $1200 to $1500. Good luck bidding on this…
