Nice, cleaner, Suzuki T500

To make up for the flamed-out T500 I posted the other day, here is a nice semi-clean example of the Titan that is currently up for auction on eBay. It’s a 1975 model, with approximately 8.5K miles on it. It isn’t in perfect shape, but as the basis for a cafe racer build up it would be great. I really want to try building up one of these, and I will after I figure out if I’ve got the chops to do a great job with the SL350 project…

1976 Yamaha RD400 Cafe Racer

And now back to actual cafe racers…

Up on eBay with about 2 days left is the 1976 Yamaha RD400 that has been nicely styled as a cafe racer with the addition of clubman bars, a fiberglass seat bonded to the original seat pan, and rear-sets from an R6. On the performance front, the seller claims the entire motor and transmission have been gone through, there’s been some mild porting, he has DG pipes on the bike, and it has a steering damper for landing the all to common wheelies I’m sure this bike is capable of hoisting. All in all a beautiful build-up of a cafe racer, although I’m sure I’ll get at least one comment about there being too much red on the bike… /:-\

Unlike the last listing, this seller has an extremely good feedback rating. I would say you could bid with confidence on this bike…

Kawasaki H1 Tracy Fiberglass Body Kit

Do you have an H1 sitting around in need of something new and different? Do you want to stand out fromthe crowd at the local Quaker Steak and Lube bike nite? Do you really dig psychedelic paint jobs and wear cool bells and cords?

Well, have I got a deal for you. On eBay now with only about 9 hours left (as of 11:20am on 7/29/08 ) is this Tracy fiberglass body kit for a Kawasaki H1. I am assuming the super cool paint could be changed to better suit your taste, but why would you want to do that? It would be great to be blogging about a bike built up with this bodywork in a few months!!!

I have included a picture below of another Kawasaki (an H2, I believe) with a similar body kit as reference for potential final product after installation.
